My works are about unravelling the mysteries of the universe via a pseudo scientific approach: visually collecting objects via their photographic likeness, dealing with the dark both literally and metaphorically, and the possibility that the photographic process will render visible things we cannot see with the naked eye.

My work is also greatly informed by the methods I have available to me at the time and my work as a photographic artist has primarily been influenced by my interest in plastic and toy cameras which are often simple devices with plastic lenses, no aperture or shutter speed controls and often many light leaks and surprise elements.

I am also the director and founder of the Plastic Photo Show which is now in its 6th year. The annual Plastic Photo Show is an open entry exhibition devoted to showcasing works created with low tech photography methods such as the toy cameras described above.
